I mainly work with painting, sculpture and digital photography, often combined. Moving away from conventional expressions and exploring alternative ways is central to my work.
I find it interesting that despite its overrepresentation historically, painting still develops and manages to engage as contemporary art.
Lately I have worked allot with letting the painted surface transform into sculptural shapes.
A large part of my work process involves the digital image and the use of computer software. I feel that it is relevant to allow this to be shown in the final work, as its the main flavor of our time.
I work solely on the feel and look of things, leaving the conceptual angle to the spectator. What is important to me is to find a nerve or instinct that I connect with. Being able to articulate ones experience is secondary.
I’m really fascinated by desire, how it can be strong and at the same time repulsive and scaring.
In my case, I have a strong desire to make things that look like blobs in poisonous colors, like sinister candy, just so I can be delighted by looking at them!
Like when you look at something and feel - I would love to touch or eat that, but at the same time, I’m kind of disgusted and afraid, it might even bite me... but it looks really tasty though.

And she was swathed in sorrow, as if born within its mask.
